Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information I collect when you work with me or visit this site, why I collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email me at [email protected] and I'll walk you through it.
What I Collect
When you inquire or book a session, I collect the basics: your name, email, phone number, and anything you share about your musician, their instrument, and the session you have in mind. If you book, I keep a record of your payments. I don't collect credit card numbers.
During a session, I collect the obvious thing: photographs of your musician and their instrument, and sometimes of your family.
When you visit this website, my hosting and analytics tools collect standard technical information, such as your browser type, general location, and which pages you visit. This is what most websites collect by default. It doesn't tell me who you are.
How I Use It
I use your contact and session details to plan your session, send your agreement and invoices, guide you through your reveal, order your album and wall art, and follow up afterward. If you join my email list, I may also send occasional updates about my work and availability. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Your photographs are used to create your album, wall art, and digital images. Separately, I may share some images in my portfolio or on social media to show the kind of work I do. That use is never assumed. It's covered by the image use section of your client agreement, and if you'd rather your photos stay private, they will.
Who Else Sees It
I use a small number of trusted tools to run my business, and your information passes through some of them:
None of these companies use your information for anything beyond helping me deliver your session and products.
I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
Young People
Most of the musicians I photograph are high school students. This site is meant for parents and guardians, and I don't knowingly collect information online from children under 13. For musicians under 18, I work directly with a parent or guardian, who signs the client agreement.
Cookies and Website Data
This site uses basic cookies and analytics to understand how people find and use it. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings. The site should still work, though some features may run less smoothly.
Keeping It Safe
This site uses a secure connection (the small padlock beside the web address), so anything you send through the inquiry form is encrypted.
How Long I Keep Things
I keep client records, agreements, and invoices for as long as I need them for tax and business purposes. Your online gallery stays available for the period stated in your client agreement. After that, I may archive or delete files.
Your Rights
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, except for records I need to keep for tax and business purposes. You can also stop marketing emails, or withdraw permission for public use of your photos, at any time. Just email me at [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy as my business or my tools change. The version posted here is always the current one.
